Charming Revival: The Spring Cottage Project

Whites Decorating's portfolio is enriched by varied projects that reflect our adaptability and expertise in handling diverse architectural styles. A case in point is the Spring Cottage Project, a lovely oak-framed extension to a cottage nestled in the picturesque village of Great Haseley. This two-week venture saw us transforming the reception rooms and bedrooms into a fresh, inviting space.

Harmonising Tradition with Contemporary

Embracing Elegance: The Restoration Process

The project began with stripping off the existing wallpaper and ensuring all surfaces were filled and perfected. Applying new, stylish wallpaper and painting the walls with Farrow and Ball paint transformed the space with a blend of traditional charm and modern aesthetics. The result was a perfect backdrop that harmoniously balanced the cottage's rustic elements and contemporary design.

The stunning oak beams, an integral part of the extension's character, received a special treatment. We carefully applied Osmo oil to preserve and enhance the natural beauty and durability of the oak, accentuating its rich hues and unique grain.

The outcome was a light and welcoming interior that breathed new life into the cottage, harmonising the old and the new while remaining respectful of the home's inherent charm
